After a massive crush of a farewell show in Paris, Valentino is getting ready for an encore - in the Middle East.

The designer announced today that he’d stage a fashion show for his Arabian clientele later this year, with a reshowing of his Spring ‘08 season in Abu Dhabi.

For those rusty on their Carmen Sandiego skills, Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and the second largest of its cities. According to CNN and most of the women who shop there, the sandy city is also the wealthiest place on earth (literally).

The show takes place on November 17 as part of Abu Dhabi Fashion Week, and precedes the launch of the hotly anticipated Valentino documentary, which we’ll see later this winter… somehow, it seems retirement has made the style legend even busier than ever.
