There's a point in probably August where you wish it were cold.
The prospect of layers and textures gets into your skin, and your sundress seems suddenly boring, like a beach retreat that's lasted a few days too long.
Chanel's Paris Londres Collection can probably solve your yawning style issues, with richly robed girls straddling '60s schoolgirl with medieval minor royalty. Rich purples, deep checks, and flared skirts and jackets that look like Sleeping Beauty on an '80s hair band high.
Note also the makeup, a deeper eye that would melt off in summer but seems really perfect for Fall '08, or even, if you're into jumping guns, for right now. Harder to justify are the Melrose Place chokers, but since their sort of Victorian, it might catch on.
Things we thought watching it: Bardot goes to Prom, Cher goes to Paris, Jane Birkin does ecstasy, Lady Amanda Harlech.

Fabulous. I think the last look is my favorite. I also love the two blonde women in the background of most of the pictures!
