I'm from Seattle and didn't own a pair of rain boots until I moved to New York...it is so disgusting when it rains here that I always wear my Hunters at the first sign of rain. Although I did get teased mercilessly last time I wore them. BTW, Hunters are overrated and I wish I had bought Tretorns instead...Hunters are now made in China and the quality is really poor.
