Light My Fire

High Heel Menorah.JPGWith Hanukkah starting tomorrow night, there’s not much time left to find the perfect menorah.

Our personal favorite is this adorable – and totally ridiculous – high heel version.

Each shoe props up a candle, and of course, the heel for the shamash looks more like a stilleto. The best thing about it? It’ll remind everyone about the presents you would really like to get.

We’re torn – it’s so funny that we kind of want to overnight it and just light the first two on Wednesday, but we’re also a little annoyed that every product marketed towards women has to include shoes.

Where do you stand on the high heel menorah?

Get it? “Stand”? Ooh, nevermind…

no way. i'm all about my family's ancient brass one. modern menorahs are generally awful.

Oh, Alison, don't do it! This menorah is very cheap-looking in real life. I used to sell these in my shop a few years ago (they did sell well). Any time I've seen this menorah, it's had a huge mark-up. It wholesales for $12.

Yeah, that's ... That's really tacky. I agree with the person above: the brass ones are much more tasteful. (Not that my opinion should carry much weight as I had to google what a shamash was, so ...)
