Cute idea, but it doesn't seem terribly practical if you're handing out a lot of presents. Plus, if you're not a crafty person, the wrapping could look cheap and sloppy rather than cute and thoughtful.

I suppose if you're only wrapping a few presents it might be a nice idea, but when you're wrapping 50 presents, it's too much work. Plus, I know that if I were to do it, there would be tape and holes everywhere.

how would this be executed for gifts larger than a rubik's cube? you would need more than one sheet...would you tape the pages together first, then wrap?

also a cute eco-friendly wrap is newspaper. then maybe you could past cutouts from magazines on it...

As a former professional gift wrapper (in high school), French Vogue paper is inappropriate for wrapping. There's too much ink, which rubs off on your hands while wrapping and on the recipient's hands, especially if they are balancing a glass of champagne. It also is not particularly pliable, meaning it will either tear and or refuse to shape to the gift.

But tissue paper with a carefully chosen photo from French Vogue applique'd on top would be stunning.

I recently received a necklace from Etsy.com and the seller wrapped it up in clothing catologue paper, it was quite cute!

I used the idea for some of my smaller gifts this year.
