Streetwalker: Take a Message

Alize Streetwalker 003.jpgAlize, 23, aspiring Art Director

Got Her: At a cafe on the corner of Spring and Mulberry behind a stack of books.

Stalked Her: The blousy top, high-waisted pencil skirt, ribbed leggings, simple boots, the eyes…

Shot Her: Because this is a great example of the subtly sexy secretary look we all wish we could pull off. Plus, if you want to do a high-waisted look but get shy about your curves, a long cardigan or coat over your skirt can help.

She Says: “I’m from Hawaii but I live in Chinatown now. I just graduated from NYU- Yes, I’m one of those.”

We Say: Waist not, want not.

love the proportions, and the attitude (she gives off a char casiraghi vibe to me?), but c'mon...pastel gingham when it's 30 degrees outside? and those boots, yuck. overall i think she pulls it off though.

I think the skirt is very cute but would've worn it with heels -- the mid-calf boots make her look a little stumpy, when she clearly isn't at all.

Honestly this whole look is just ugly. The pastel top clashes horribly with the olive skirt, and its so billowy that it hides any curves that she may have which are further hidden by that boring coat. She needs something more structured, either the blouse or the coat. the boots can be excused because im assuming shes carrying her real shoes to be put on once shes at her destination.
The sartoralist would know better than to shoot her.

The outfit is one of those "Communist" outfits. Good in theory, but when actually played out-not so good. I feel like the buttons clash with the print of the pastel shirt. She should of picked a non-print shirt.
