She would never have those opportunities if not for her show. Lauren Conrad doesn't seem very intelligent, her style is cute but boring and unoriginal, and I doubt she knows much about fashion. She didn't even stand up to shake Marc Jacobs hand when she met him!!

oy. i am SO over this girl. She is a prefabricated MTV product who we are told to adore because of her "style."

What style, the only style she has is copying those with originality and passing it off as your own and being a slave to trends. Her clothing, hate to break it to her already exists, it has already been mass produced.

Did this remind anyone else of Jenny on Gossip Girl in the "Hi Society" episode?

I think Lauren is a wonderful girl, not that I know her, but neither do either of you. She is one of the lucky ones who got a great offer dropped into her lap and now she is enjoying the rewards. If one of you was offered a show on MTV, would you turn it down. I don't think so. Give her a break, if she acts too human you say that she's boring but if she acts fake we get on her about it. She is a normal girl trying to get a break in the real world. Also about the Marc Jacobs thing, did you stop to think that maybe she was too nervous and its not like Marc Jacobs waited around long enough to shake her hand.

What does she mean, "they need help"? I thought you're either invited or you're not.

Actually, Fashionsta91, Marc did shake her hand -- while she awkwardly sat down. If you haven't seen it, don't contradict someone who has.
And, no, I would NEVER be on an MTV "reality" show, even if the offer "fell into my lap"

Can we talk about the time that Lauren "passed up the chance to go to Paris" was most likely the time that Teen Vogue tried to get the Louis Vuitton Paris office to give her an internship, and they DECLINED. Then they played it off on the show as though she didn't really want to go. Gotta love MTV.

NICE SECRET, Lauren. Last nights episode was the biggest disappointment of my life.

Socialista? How do you know this about the Louis Vuitton Paris? I'm so curious because I have heard nothing of the sort and have two friends who actually work on the show. Spill the scoop!

Ash, we reported that at The Daily when I still worked there, about 2 years ago.
