Zip ties – those thin plastic strips widely used in the place of handcuffs these days – don’t exactly strike us as something to think about. But it turns out that if you have the mind of a talented jewelry designer, like Natalie Gomensoro, you can refashion them as a very cute ring. It’s simple enough to wear on a daily basis, and on first glance looks like a traditional ring with a solitary gemstone.
