Zac Posen to Show in Berlin

Liya Kebede in Zac Posen This year, Hugo Boss and Vivienne Westwood presented their collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.

In January, Zac Posen will join them.

The 27-year old style star will bring his Spring ‘08 collection (which you already saw in New York) to Germany, just weeks before he presents his Fall ‘08 line in New York.

The trip might be exhausting, but it could also be a great investment:

In recent years, the Berlin art scene has exploded, bringing rock stars and fashion designers back into the city for vacations and collaborations, and paving the way for a new creative and retail community - sort of like London in the ’90s. If Zac lays down some Berlin roots now, he could attract a new group of acolytes that could help grow his brand abroad - not that Mr. Posen needs much help in the sales or PR department…

Zac is joined in Berlin by Wolfgang Joop, who is reprising his Spring ‘08 collection for the Berlin crowd - it was first shown in Paris last October.

i live in berlin and im so happy its underground scene has finally reached other parts of the world.
galliano said berlin is like london in the 80s. full of creativity, ideas, upcomming designers such as sisi wasabi or kavier gauche. plus we have the number one club scene, next to paris.
we re new and modern and yet old and antique, we have too many starbucks stores and on the other hand a zillion little personal cafes. we have the businessmen, the bohemians.. many artists such as ewan mcgregor, david bowie etc used to live here. wel and so on and so on. just come here and check it out.. and im sure you'll come to the conclusion that berlin is just a fucking awesome city. i even have:made in berlin tatooed on the sole ofmy foot.

i think apart from rome, paris and london people should also consider the looks of stockholm and berlin, as mentioned above.
