You might think Salavatore Ferragamo's classic flats are a little old ladyish - but we've been seeing them on the feet of some of New York's most fashionable girls.

They come in a rainbow of colors, have proper soles unlike most ballet flats, and give the most casual outfit a polished finish - basically they're perfect for city living.

Nine West agrees. They've abandoned their tendency to copy uber-trendy, straight from the runway shoes and opted for a more classic and practical counterfeit.

If you have extra time on your hands, you could even take the time to get the metal plate in the middle of the bow engraved.

Either shoe would be adorable with cut-off denim shorts and an oversized tee, or even a floral mini-dress this spring.

And honestly, we'd never know which one you're wearing.

(Bonus points if you actually know which shoe is which...)

I'm guessing the Ferragamo ones are on the left. The leather on the shoe on the right seems to puckering a little.

I guess the one on the left as well...the right one looks cheaper even though it has the brass...At any rate both are really cute classics.

I vote for the one on the right being real -- the left one's leather is almost too "good" looking, and in general that shoe is a bit too generically cutesy. I think the one on the right is authentic.

I've wanted a pair of Ferragamo's for years now! I don't know why I just don't go and purchase a pair. Hmm...maybe because I'm broke?
ps...the ones on the left are the real slim shadys :)

And the way you can tell is because of the name Ferragamo engraved on the metal center of the bow.

The real ones are on the left. You can tell by the engraving on the plate and also the orientation of the bow -- it's more round and sits higher on the real pair.

i've been craving ferragamo flats for ages, and got really excited when i saw that they were being knocked off (sorry, it's true, im cheap). but the nine west ones are still out of my budget :(

when did ferragamo shoes become too expensive to purchase? i've purchased several pairs of ferragamo shoes from dsw, tj maxx and the like for less than 60 bucks! maybe i'm just a bargain shopper [which would explain how i purchased an authentic horsebit hobo for under $700; a new, authentic speedy 30 for like $300; and even an all-leather camel devil for under $100 (that was truly a steal. it's authentic, but was a little used. but not too used for fendi to clean!)]. at any rate, guest 5:14pm you can definitely afford a pair of ferragamo shoes. you'd just have to do a little SOLE searching (yes, the pun was intended...lol!).

This post brought a smile to my face. I got a pair from my boyfriend for Christmas in blk patent and I absolutely love them. And if anyone is paying 400 for some shoes i would prefer them to be of the stuffy old lady variety.

i recentley went in a nine west

just to look

but i saw these shows that were exactly like these betsey johnson heels minus the pink bottoms

thats rediculous

oh and the real ones are the shoes on the left

You know what's funny? they seemed to be copying the inside color too. You think they would at least make that different to avoid being so blatant.

I bought the Nine West ones a couple of weeks ago for $18 on sale they are really cute on. I even bought the same but with a heel for work too because they were such a steal!
