"I saw Uma ahead of me. I caught up with Uma in the backstage and asked her what she thought of the show, half embarrassed that I bothered. “I have no comment to make at this time,” she said, as if she had said it a million times before. Okay. Wouldn’t “beautiful” have worked just as well?" -- Cathy Horyn, rock star, on Uma Thurman, total disappointment.

I disagree. Classy behaviour requires a person to at least respond in good faith. How hard would it have been to say "Fantastic, thanks for asking" instead?

Maybe she didn't like the show at all and instead of voicing her dissatisfaction, she decided not to make any comment at all. Whats the saying, If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say, Don't Say Anything At All?

She's an actress, maybe she is using the stale line to cover her true feelings.
It's like replying to "How are you?" with "Fine" even though you are having the worst day ever and don't intend on sharing that fact with anyone.
She could be really upset that Valentino is retiring. I would say "no comment" to hold back my tears if I was in her position...

I am with Kate and Fashionista.
She is a public figure and should be expected to ask just a reasonable question related to the event she was at.
If she was asked about to comment about Heath Leger or Global warming then the cold shoulder would have been expected.

Everyone knows that if a noted person does not like the show, they will comment on the fabric, color palette, etc.
Uma sounds b*tchy..

Uma Thurman is very shy. She probably didn't want to be bothered.

This is not a big deal. So she didn't feel like being interviewed. You never know what a person is going through and she could have had an off day.
