Lauren Conrad, the Fashion Show?

thehills_conrad_l.jpg Here’s the fun rumor coming from L.A.:

Teen Vogue dropout Lauren Conrad won’t just have her own reality show come March -

She’ll also have her own Fashion Show.

We’re hearing from some MTV friends that Ms. Conrad is launching her first catwalk turn for Los Angeles Fashion Week, and though that rumor is so unconfirmed it should make us break out in hives, it’s still fun to think about.

Why?

Because Whitney, Audrina, Brody, and Lisa Love would all be in the front row, while every Hills addict in Hollywood (Haylee Duff, Rumor Willis, we are so looking at you) would camp out on the other side of the runway.

And the clothes would be swishy, and too expensive for what they are, and twelve-year olds might temporarily forget their Juicy Couture dreams in favor of something slightly simpler, and tied forever to shiny blondes.

This makes me so sad. There are so many other talented designers (Rebecca Turbow, Mooka Kinney, etc.) that deserve this fame.

Sigh. I thought this was supposed to be about fashion. This girl has no talent. Did you see her "collection" of tired jersey dresses that we've seen Rachel Pally and everyone else who only works with jersey fabric do hundreds of times already.

As long as she stays in LA and doesnt try to come to NY with her "line" I'm ok.

Don't get me wrong I love the show, Lauren is a really cool down to earth girl. I just don't think she is ready for her own line. Although I do see her as a more of an fashion stylist than a designer. Since she's not at Teen Vogue anymore, MTV knew that most of the rating were coming from the fashion obsessed. Now there using that to stage her first line, they know were going to watch lol...this is what i think

she's cute and all but i am starting to get a bit annoyed of her and her status [and no i am not jealous, please]

she's only famous because she was on a reality show and because of its success she became the star of her own show...and all she ever does own that show is roll her eyes and stare at the camera every five seconds and gasp

seriously does she really deserve to get two teen vogue covers? really what has she done. is she allowed to be called a "fashion designer" because she can design a tent with sleeves in four colors and call that a dress? i mean come on

and get her own show at fashion week, wtf most people earn that opportunity because they actually posses some talent.

her line should retail for what the cost of the product is. it is way way overpriced, and i am sure you will eventually see it on the racks at Filenes basement
