Today’s Variety reports the expected news that The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is now on hold.
The film was to star Heath Ledger, though of course now that can’t happen.
His romantic lead in the movie was Lily Cole, and although her scenes were scheduled to be shot soon, there’s a good possibility that now, they won’t be filmed at all.
The news comes on the heels of another odd bit of news from the Lily Cole cinema sphere:
Her highly hyped movie Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll, created and co-starring Marilyn Manson, has been moved from “post production” to “pre-production” status on IMDB.
Tilda Swinton will take the role of the Red Queen, originally created for Angelina Jolie.

Heath Ledger just died and you’re worried about Lily Cole’s movie career? Who cares! Put things in perspective.
I think this is a fine post. Fashionista aleays does a wonderful job of reporting as a fashion blog, and admirably keeps their toes out of the world of celebrity gossip blogging.
It would have been unfitting for them to make a post about any one of the recent hollywood deaths.
guest@1:47 I agree. Even I was upset when I saw the post of Naomi and Chavez. What does fashionista got to do with Heath Ledger. It is not a news blog, it is not a movie blog, not a gossip blog, it is a fashion blog.
I was expecting some Heath Ledger news on fashionista from the ‘current boyfriend of Gemma Ward’ and ‘ last seen on a date with Gemma Ward the prior evening’ slant
Both Lily Cole and Naomi Campbell are models, as in people who work in fashion, as in perfectly acceptable subjects for a fashion blog. Not sure what the problem is…
this post about lily cole’s professional life i think is perfectly suitable. but who the models _supposedly_ date belongs to a gossip blog. at least that’s how i thought fashionista was.
I read the movie was scrapped, stopped production, packed and sent people home.
