"Hello Faran the Fashioinsta.com Staff, I just recieved a internship with Harper Bazaar, I would like to know do you guys know anything juicy like crazy editors or assistants that I might need to be aware of? Thanks." --Yesterday's favorite, and misspelled, comment from the boards... and no darling, everyone we know at HB is pretty cool.

It makes me sad (and a wee bit jealous, honestly) that someone so clueless and careless with their spelling has won themselves an internship at one of my favorite magazines...Most importantly, it's Harper's Bazaar (not "Harper Bazaar") - maybe you should know that if you're interning there.

Oh! And I just noticed the "a internship"...darling, use "an"! We learned that when? First grade? Life is unfair (particularly when someone with total lack of regard for grammar and spelling gets an internship at a great magazine)

It's not like your spelling is always perfect, Faran. Why do you have to be so mean?

Maybe he or she did that on purpose?

You never know people purposedly dumb themselves down as a disguise.

Okay that's ridiculous...

That must of been a joke or an attempt at digging up some editor dirt with a fabricated story. I'm sure someone is sitting at home laughing that Faran posted their comment and completely missed the humor in it. I will continue to tell myself this so I don't go mad with jealousy and curse the universe for dealing out an internship at Harper's to someone this ridiculous/clueless.

i interned at hb a while ago, it's pretty exciting really. my experience was very eye opening as cliche as that sounds. the one thing that surprised me was how the people and vibe didn't exactly fit the stereotype that seems to dominate many books and many perceptions. it's nothing like devils wears prada, however, be prepared to do anything and everything. never complain or sulk, just try to make the best of it :)

good luck!

Faran...darling...some people make mistakes. I'm not trying to be overly gruel (like you were) but you make mistakes numerous times (i.e. when you consistently wear clothing that doesn't fit your body properly). I know baggy was "in" at one point, but I've only seen you wear 1 outfit that fit the way it was intended to. Love the blog, though.

I'd say you're being overly "gruel" if you hint that you could dress me better, but won't reveal your identity! If you think you can help, email me and take me shopping - I really like the way my clothes fit, but if you think you can make me look better, I'd love to try your suggestions.

Ooh. Liking the response, Faran. Awesome.

And I chuckled at that comment when I saw it yesterday.

Okay I don't think this post was remotely mean. Clearly this person isn't so bright if they think that Faran, or anyone else at Fashionista.com is going to openly dish on editors and stylists when the entire industry reads this blog!

I went in to interview for this internship position and alas- did not receive the coveted position. Then again, maybe I don't want to be working with girls like those. Ah well.
