We’ve been meaning to do a DIY brooch before spring hits.
Ideally, the floral accent would be simple, chic, everyday appropriate, not at all reminiscent of Carrie, and less than $20.00.
Unfortunately, work has been seriously cutting into arts and crafts time, so we’re going to buy this one from designer Foundling. She, appropriately, uses all recycled materials for pieces that aren’t cheesy or overly crafty.
These poppy brooches are made from vintage silk blouses and recycled glass beads and come in a handful of colors. We’ll be pinning the butter yellow one onto our navy linen scarf come May.
Now if we could just skip the April showers on our way into Spring.

Esty is such a wonderful resource for inventive fashion. Good job on the excellent find. That brooch is stunning!
