Top Model

Saleisha Nabs a Cover

saleisha cover.jpg Our baby Nicholas Routzen just finished a very interesting assignment:

Photographing Saleisha Stowers for the cover of Florida International Magazine.

We’ve never heard of it, but we like Saleisha’s odd makeup in the shots -

It reminds us a lot of our favorite Miami hotel, The Standard, where you can get an incredible colored mud bath on their beach.

And who will be Florida International’s next cover model - sorry, we mean America’s Next Top Model?

Well, for the new season, we like Lauren and Whitney, so of course, neither will win (boo!).

She bothers me too :S I mean, it doesn't take a qualified model agent to realize she could never be a top model. Hopefuly somebody decent will win for once.

I've always wondered: do America's Next Top Models not succeed because they are simply unfit to model in the first place, or because they have a stigma attached to them from the show?

I haven't really followed the show, but from what I've seen, they don't always look like "model material". But I still figured they'd catch a break bigger than Florida International.

The Standard in Miami doesn't have a beach, it's bayside.

Wow, the styling, makeup, and hair here are just... bad. Photography is nice though! And Saleisha would be really cute modeling for Old Navy or something.

Why do you people always have to throw the race card out there? People are encouraged to come up with their own opinion but sometimes if a million people see the same thing, you might have to admit they just might be right. She looks like a catalog model and I think that's what she'll always be. Food for thought.

whoa easy.
tyra was without a doubt on crack when she chose saleisha.
yeah america's next top model winners never have careers..it's weird
maybe because no designer wants to be associated with that

Knit.1 (a knitting magazine) constantly features the girls - losers and winners. Whoa big time! CariDee is in the latest issue for one photo.

She (her face) looks like a boy. But not in that androgenous way.

She looks like Lil Bow Wow.

Even in a dress. And make up. And big hair.

Quoting an above comment: "Why do you people always have to throw the race card out there?"

Wow. I hope you understand the implications of using the phrase "you people." How horribly exclusive. Lashing out is never pretty.

Anyway, Saleisha I think is pretty. Model... I don't know. The hair is god awful.

Yeah, "you people"?
That person doesn't represent the race. Just himself. Not me.
