The Sass & Bide show opened with a vintage record and Nicky Hilton in the front row. We were hoping for Sienna Miller.
At least the clothes lived up to our expectations.
The Harlequin themed collection included sequins, top hats, leathery leggings worn as pants (Linsay Lohan will surely buy every pair), capes flowing down the runway and a bright plaid jacket that we wish we could have this spring.
We scribbled “THIGH HIGHS” in capital letters across our notebook. Indeed, the trend we promised not to wear has popped up everywhere: Rag&Bone, Form, Costello Tagliapietra, Alexander Wang. The Sass & Bide girls, Sarah Jane and Heidi, layered theirs over wide-knit fishnets for an even more rock n’ roll look that balanced out the girly dresses topped with ruffled sleeves and woven ribbons.
We loved it all.
So if you see us wearing thigh highs – sorry, don’t hate us, we have to.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this collection. Too bad I can’t afford any of it. I’m ashamed to say that I’ll have to start looking for imitations.
And of course some thigh-highs, which I happen to have nothing against.
“we have to” What happen to individuality?
you can’t credit thigh highs as a runway trend b/c they have everything to do with the stylist, nothing to do with the clothes.
eh, i never got what you have against thigh-highs. i’ve always worn them because they’re comfier than tights and can be pretty sexy
omg i love how they put the thigh highs over the fishnets.
