[The L Train going east to Brooklyn. BRITT and FARAN sit side-by-side.]
BRITT: So how was the Warehouse sale?
FARAN: Actually, it was pretty good. There was a lot less Marc by Marc, so the new collection must fit better than past seasons, and there were a handful of Christopher Kane dresses, like the old velvet ones.
BRITT: Seriously?
FARAN: It was amazing; they were so heavy, but gorgeous. But even on sale, they were almost $2000. Ooh, but I got a Proenza dress for $350.
BRITT: WHAT? Which one?
FARAN: This one. And then I got two pairs of Sigerson Morrison ballet flats for $50 each.
BRITT: I love how J. Crew clothes now cost more than stuff at Barneys Warehouse.
FARAN: It's fun. So how was your day?
BRITT: Well, I saw Patricia Field shopping with a private client. Some woman from Texas. I didn't know she made private appointments! How much do you think that costs?
FARAN: More than the clothes.
BRITT: And isn't she supposed to be working on Cashmere Jungle?
FARAN: Cashmere Jungle? What is that, a diffusion line by Alexander Wang?!
Proenza Dress, $350
Sigerson Flats, $50 each
Miu Miu Skirt, too much!
