Agyness Obsession Watch Continued

Agyness Deyn style.jpgNeed further proof of Agyness’ absolute place in fashion history?

The big news from the weekend: Agyness Deyn bumped Kate Moss from the top of Tatler’s Best Dressed List.

Why this is amazing: The top two ladies on the list are (well) above the usual model age of sixteen. Also, everyone’s love for Agyness might signal a move towards healthy, good-natured models being the new favorite, and quirky (read: insane) style winning over the likes of Keira Knightley (usually in Rodarte) and Natalia Vodianova (usually not in anything that great.)

Also, somebody ousted Kate from the top of the most stylish pack, even if in Tatler? An admirable feat all on its own.

But?

Agyness’ fast rising star (fast for those who just heard of her late last year and now could identify her in a million model line up) could soon explode in an industry that tends to overdose on trends/looks/models before kicking them to the curb forever.

So will Agyness soon be last minute’s news, or is this just the beginning of a Kate/Naomi-like reign in the modeling world?

Months will tell.

Erm... I already think she's last minute's news. I was never a fan and now I'm sick of the sight of her. Make her go away, please!

Make her go away. She always looks so cheesy and Natalia Voldianova is a better model and always looks so much more stylish. The latter is mostly because she is so comfortable in her own skin.

Even more interesting, why is no one talking about the brimming Kate/Aggy feud?

I think it's really interesting that Kate is always snarky and snubs Aggy every time they're in the same room together... jealous much, Kate?

I'm tired of her. Actually, I never quite got the allure. Her 'edginess' has always seemed so forced.

So done.

Agyness looks like she's trying so hard to affect the heroin-addled gutter punks on the streets of the Mission.

I think her time has come. Perez hilton is obsessed with her. To me she is no longer cool.

Wow, as if being the "muse" of House of Holland was a big thing, the most ridiculous colecction of the season; and yes, there is a lot of articles of her with no reason. There is a lot of models with so moch work than her, she is not raquel zimmermann, not even close.

I think Natalia Vodianova generally looks pretty great, and not at all boring.

syako...what sixteen year olds have their own sense of style? plenty, if you must know.

you just must not hang out with the stylish crowd if you don't know any. :)

Perhaps I don't know any, I just find that people at that age haven't really discovered themselves yet, let alone their own unique style. I think a 16 year old can look cute or perhaps even fashionable, but I think it takes time to develop a "style" of your own. Agree? Disagree?

I used to be a fan of Laura Hollins, but now, the fad is over. I guess I can't stand how she is everyone's current muse and how she is all over everywhere and being talked about. Also, I believe she is confined to a certain kind of image. I like my models versatile. No more Laura Hollins for me. I am sick of her.

Natalia Vodianova can always stick around and I simply can't get enough of her. She is beautiful.
