Celebrity Child Inspires Adult Clothes Craving

attachment.jpeg A few months ago, we went to the Marc by Marc store on Bleecker St.

"All the Little Marc clothes are on sale," said the Shop Guy, "and if you pick out the large and extra large sweaters and shirts, they'll fit you!"

We'll confess we do this at Gap Kids (in the boys' section) all the time, but we'd never thought to do it at MJ - despite the fact that fashion editors have bought little boy's blazers at Ralph Lauren and Hickey Freeman for years.

Now it seems there's another little kid craze sweeping some fashion women, and it's all because of Brooklyn Beckham.

The little cutie was photographed with his mom in a Ben Sherman checkered shirt, and we hear that hordes of British birds realized they could buy it, wear it as a three-quarter sleeve blouse, and maintain their status as a secret Posh worshipper.

You can see more photos of Brooklyn on Just Jared ; you can see more plaid shirts at Little Ben (or, we guess, Big Ben).

that sounds great in theory, but the largest kids size in the Ben Sherman online store is 7-8. i think you'd have to be olsen-sized to be able to fit into those shirts.

I agree with anonymoose. I read a similar post about this cherry-print raincoat from Gap Kids a few months ago. It was so cute I ran to the Gap store on 34th street during my lunch break. I'm on the small side (or so I thought until that day) but the biggest size wouldn't fit me. I remember saying to myself those at Fashionista must be real skinny! Also, I think children's clothes are cut differently from those for women's. I doubt if they will be flattering on grown-ups.

I bought a Gap Kids boy blazer in a small. The sleeves are a little tight, but overall, I really like it. Plus, you can't argue with the prices in the kids section!

That's Romeo, not Brooklyn!

Poor Romeo, I've seen him been misnamed as both Cruz and Brooklyn several times now! Middle child syndrome.
