Gwyneth Paltrow is the face of Damiani diamonds, and Lily Cole was famously the face of DeBeers (or infamously, actually: she quit the campaign after learning about mining atrocities).
Now another jewel company is luring celebrities:
Stephen Webster.
The diamond firm has got Christina Aguilera to star in their upcoming ads, which premiere in April's W... well actually, they premiere here, but you get the point.
When WWD reported that Aguilera was the official inspiration of Stephen Webster's new Sterling Silver Collection, we doubted the ads would look very good. And though Christina does look appropriately glamorous, there's the question of whether she's the right face for a stone linked to Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and everlasting love...
Well, she did sing What a Girl Wants, which in most girls' cases is jewelry... though among us and our friends, it's more often some sort of French Fry combo.

I think Christina (in the past two years) has really embodied the old hollywood glam. So I think she's perfect in these ads. Her latest album was like listening to great jazz vocalists from decades ago. Go ms. aguilera!
