If you had any doubt that Michelle Trachtenberg is the next big prime time thing, think again.

Just four days after the announcement of her induction into the Gossip Girl cast, and we're already being bombarded with PR e-mail blasts like, "Michelle Trachtenberg selects Lela Rose for the 25th Annual Paley TV Festival for Buffy the Vampire Slayer!"

We're already wondering which of the GG cast will end up the Katie Holmes of the bunch, the one that actually continues to be legitimately famous well after the show has ended.

We'd normally bet on Blake, just because she's so cute, or maybe Leighton because it appears that she can really act, but now we're thinking it could end up Michelle, who has by far the most experience of the cast - and she hasn't even filmed her first scene yet.

Clearly, at least a mid-summer Teen Vogue cover is in order here.

But Michelle Williams is legitimately famous for starring in films and having an amazing haircut until she ruined it! And Katie Holmes is famous for ... marrying someone.

I vote for Leighton.

Katie holmes is a bad example. Before she married tom she was barely famous. Perhaps the Clooney of ER...or is that pushing it

michelle williams is the definite diamond in the dawson creek rough, not katie! i think taylor momsen has my vote :)

katie holmes is not famous for anything other marrying a psychopath and picking "mad money" over "the dark knight" in the past few years. I think michelle williams wins the legitimate thing for her performance alone in brokeback mountain.

Michelle Williams. Oscar nominee Michelle Williams. That's who you mean. Check her imdb page, compared to Katie Holmes, and see who has more interesting work, with interesting directors, in the coming months.

is michelle even going to be a permanent cast member? so it would be useless to include her in that category of blake and leighton.

I once saw Michelle Trachtenberg at Barneys (LA) totally high! She was on her Dolce & Gabbana phone begging some guy to come down and buy her clothes. True. My vote, though I doubt it will happen is for Leighton.

P.S. What a diss to Michelle - she is too fabulous!
