Gossip Girl, the Countdown

Now we really can't wait for the return of Gossip Girl.

The Daily Intel reports that Michelle Trachtenberg, known as Harriet the Spy in our world, is set to play the role of Georgina Sparks (rumored to have been first offered to Mischa Barton), Serena van der Woodsen's arch enemy, in the coming weeks.

Georgina is supposed to return to Constance Billard after a stint in rehab and shake up the life of GG's Golden Girl, no doubt by catching the eye of Dan (Michelle is from Brooklyn, after all), and simultaneously playing around with Chuck for good measure.

Look out for fights on the steps of the Met, Serena in Topshop, Blair in Chanel, and Georgina in Heatherette.

But we're sure when the Met Ball's worked into the script, we'll see Teen Vogueette Michelle in a form-fitting, strapless Ralph...

Hmmm, I don't know about this...she looks a lot like Taylor Momsen to me, which is just creepy if she is going to catch the eye of Dan.

Does she remind me of the movie Harriet the Spy? You bet your bottom dollar. But does she remind me even more of Nona, the girl with the perpetually broken arm from Pete and Pete? Oohhh yeah.

I'm totally excited. Combining Nona and my guilty pleasure Gossip Girl... well, now I have some sort of excuse to use to people when I admit I watch the show, aside from its lovely fashions.

michelle has no sense of personal style nor is she pretty like the others on the show. she is blech. plus, she is going down the lindsay lohan path...

I'm totally outing myself as a nerd, but all I see when I look at her is her as Buffy's whiny little sister on the later seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
