“Imagine these two coming in in the morning and saying, ‘Hey Andy, we’ve been assigned to work with you!’” - Andy Rooney, on one of the pictures of Caroline Trentini and Raquel Zimmermann from the Vogue spread, “Working Girl,” on 60 Minutes, during a segment on magazine ads.

Andy Rooney is senile...his segments are always illogical and pointless.
The funniest thing to me was when he showed the Flowerbomb ad which clearly had a bottle of perfume in it and said something to the effect of "what do you think this ad is for, a hat?" Ridiculous.
And as laney said, most of his examples were editorials, not advertisements.

Andy Rooney has one of the best jobs ever. He gets paid to complain about something for five minutes once a week. Half the time he is just going through the contents of his mail. When he dies I want to take over that position. Does anyone have any connections at 60 Minutes?

andy rooney generally talks about things that bother him or he doesnt understand. maybe he pointed out some things that werent exactly ads but his point is taken. ads seem to consume over 50% of the pages in magazines and a lot of the time they make no sense or dont relay what they are selling. i hope he keeps going forever, he makes me laugh.

i am so glad you caught this! andy rooney has no idea what he is talking about half the time and his segment literally did not have a point. he was talking about ads in magazines and 80 percent of his examples were editorials. he's always so sexist too!
