Let Them Eat Catwalk

Elie Saab dessert.jpgIf you happen to find yourself in Paris this summer, you might want to stop in at the Café de la Paix to try out their newest dessert, Catwalk.

The pastry, designed entirely by Elie Saab as part of the café's Designer Dessert series, is made of five unbelievable sounding layers (although we think it might be a little too cute to eat):

From top to bottom: a thin slab of dark chocolate, a red fruit cream, a caramelized puff pastry, a milk chocolate Chantilly and a soft chocolate biscuit.

Our only criticism: The blueberry is a cute touch, but even better? A tiny little Naomi figure posing at the end. Maybe the waiters could even come out singing RuPaul's Runway?

Past Dessert Designers for the café include Paco Rabanne and Philippe Starck, and the Elie Saab is available only from May 15 to September 15.

Now whether you'd fit into an Elie Saab gown after the Elie Saab dessert is another story. (Oh, you know we had to take it!)
