Nothing Petty ‘Bout Petti-Coats

topshoptrench.jpgHave you ever seen a more perfect trench coat? We’ve been obsessing over Gryphon’s Petti-Coat all week and crying over its $1,000 price tag.

But we found this one from Topshop that’s almost as cute, probably more wearable and definitely more affordable.

The jacket’s made for that awkward, in between seasons time, when it’s not too cold but still not warm enough to leave your apartment with just a cardigan; it’s flouncy skirt will complement the Philip Lim skirts we’re craving for spring; and, navy blue looks so much more chic than black once the sun actually feels warm.

Now if Topshop would finally open their phantom New York store, we could finally stop paying the annoying shipping charges.

hah that's funny because i just got my teen vogue yesterday and they interviewed gryphon and the girl mentioned how burberry trenches were like a thousand dollars and how she wanted to appeal to another audience or something. PSH.

run on sentence much?

it looks like it would be unflattering.

re: skint and mint's comment...i read the same thing in the magazine last night and was thinking the same when the article didn't include the price of the jacket. that's pretty hypocritical of gryphon. not cool at all.

while i can see the gryphon comparison, it just didn't seem spot on. the coat looked familiar in another sense... the bow did it for me. what this coat really remind me of is gaultier:
