I cannot ever understand this font... or is it actual handwriting? Could you scan at a higher res or write more clearly?

hi im a fashionist newcomer. i've only been reading this wonderful blog for the past 2 weeks and i still so not understand these 'by the numbers things'. how do the numbers correspond with the writing?
