This weekend, we received an official statement from IMG about the Russel Marsh rumor. Here’s what it said:
“The allegation that Prada or Miu Miu have utilized models managed by IMG based on anything more than their talent is ridiculous and flatly untrue. We have the privilege of representing many of the most beautiful and sought after women in the industry and we are outraged that those model’s hard work is being disparaged.”
We welcome other feedback (and got a ton of it the past few days), but we can vouch for this: IMG is right, their models do work incredibly hard.

and the drama unfolds….
IMG and Women absolutely have the talent to have a large number of girls cast in the top shows…including Prada and Miu Miu. It just seems like slander from a desperate, mid-level agency that wants to even the playing field…
IMG does have a lot of great talent. I wonder out of all that great talent pool, how many of them IMG developed? Its great to have money in this world-oh the things and people you can buy!!!!!
Unfortunately, IMG has a reputation for ‘buying models’ and the art+commerce buyout is not helping their rep. Maybe it comes from those issues!?!
Both agencies owe A LOT of their success to poaching other agencies. And no, their girls are not so much more talented than girls at a lot of other agencies to be as dominant as they are. Do the math.
