Sea Sick!

sea bag.jpg When I first moved to New York, I was eagerly awaiting my first non-Floridian winter in a long time. I bought my J.Crew Pea Coat on the first day the temperature dropped below 70, I squealed with delight when I woke up and it was snowing, and I rode the Carousel in Central Park in 30 degree weather.

Seriously, I was pumped.

But as the season trudged on, I started to reminisce about winters spent in t-shirts and shorts. So as we do in CenFlo, I've already started shopping for board shorts, picking out new Top-Siders, and searching for the perfect tote for summer.

I wanted a manbag that isn't creepy or girly, and not as prosaic as the messenger I use everyday. This Sea Bag is made from an actual recycled sail, which totally fits in with my nautical-inflected closet - and as Natalie pointed out, a canvas bag is the perfect thing in which to carry your laptop.

Now if only the term "manbag" would go the way of "metrosexual," I'd be all set.

Go get one Brett! Better yet, if you have a chance to take the bus up to Portland Maine, go to the store which is full of young women at sewing machines making your bag. I've had one for two years and use it for everything. Then when they handles unwound, they made me some new ones. SeaBags Rule.

Very nice site. These bags offer a change from my monogrammed L.L. Bean Boat Tote. Luuuuv the rope handles!
