The Project Runway / Top Model Remix

Jillian7_Collection_lg.jpgReader Chris sent us a hysterical email, with a photo of Jaslene from Top Model wearing Jillian from Project Runway's final collection.


We're rather furious we didn't notice her the first time the photos were released, right after New York Fashion Week, but also:

Are we dangerously close to having our TV galaxies explode?

It's almost unbelievable that a reality show contestant on one network could zoom over to another network's fashion-focused program, which is also a competition that ends in a catwalk.

The whole thing is a little "seriously?" but we will say this:

We have never seen Jaslene look this pretty, and this much like a model, before.

Well done to everyone involved in that little transformation.

Wasn't there a little random round of applause from the audience when Jaslene appeared?
Personally, I didn't appreciate her appearance. I couldn't help but think she was stuck in as some sort of favor amongst the tv gods. Plus, I think she looks more model like only because this show isn't focusing on her and lets her blend in the way models do, instead of being the "cha cha diva" she's "known" as.

i can't believe i missed this. i usually pay more attention to the models, but i guess i just didn't see this last night. the picture of jeslene looks stunning. i guess i'll have to catch a rerun to see for myself.

jaslene got a resounding applause when she appeared on the runway. her walk wasn't that great though.

I saw Jaslene on the final runway in Season One (or was it 2) of Project Runway. Did anyone else catch that? It was definitely before she won Top Model.

Wow! i didnt even notice that was her. I did like the dress the best out of Jillian's collection. I think she looks great!

lauren, the awkward girl from brooklyn from this season's antm was also in the project runway finale, when they are doing the castings and rami's talking about how there were some great, good and bad models. she was the bad example.

Jaslene is one of the few top model winners that I actually liked!
She's actually half decent.

i never really liked jaslene's walk. in the words of Miss Jay, it always looked "too drag queen" for me. i still think natasha should have won cycle 8. but, she does look softer and more genuinely pretty here than i've ever seen her, and i'm glad to see that she at least found some work after top model...

Personally, Jaslene hasn't got the edge that heaps of models do. Here, she looks like another chick subtanned and plunged from a random exotic European beach.
I did like her powerful walk in the finale of the latest season of Top Model (in Shanghai, China - I think it was) where she opened up the final walk for the two chicks. Other than that, she doesn't struck me as special. :(

photographs of Chris March's fashion week collection (not aired on tv) were online as well, and Bianca from the most recent cycle (not current) of top model was one of his models.

@guest 7:09pm...it wasn't jaslene in the season 1/2 runway show. it's actually padma lakshmi the top chef host. she just looked alot like jaslene in the runway show, which was for season 1's wendy pepper.

Love this site!! I have to say that I am almost positive that is not her. Jaslene
has a much different facial structure.Her face is longer and narrower than this model's face.

If I remember season one correctly you must be refering to Ujwala the former YSL model. Not Jaslene or Padma.

i know for a FACT, that is Jaslene. i read on like 5 different websites (apart from this one- my favorite), that she was in a project runway show. this is just a super-good angle to hide her chin!

She looked really cute on the runway. Her walk does need to be toned down.
