The name Marimekko is a combination of a Finish word for ‘small dress’ (mekko) and the other part of the name (Mari), an anagram for Armi, one of the companies founders.
Is the print from a plate or an umbrella? Didn’t they also design those crazy retro mouses for computers?

Not “mary’s dress” — just mari dress. 1) Mary in Finnish is Maria, 2) if it were possessive it would be Marinmekko
