gah!!! is this a finger-pointing competition? let the original designers and the copy-cats sort these things out for themselves, seriously!
not only is it eye-rollingly self-righteous, but it’s getting rather tiresome just like your twice-daily aggy posts used to be (thank you for toning those down, btw).
maybe just try to find something more interesting to write about.

Whatever, I love Adventures in Copyright. It is actually how I found Fashionista, after I unknowingly bought a fab Forever 21 knockoff. One of my favorite features.

I agree with poseur and kijjalyn. Plus, I love to see how shameless these companies are.

To me, it’s just that knock-offs abound — so it’s not like the one or two featured on this site are particularly noteworthy.
I think “adventures in copyright” are kind of filler for slower news days. They’re somewhat interesting, though. (Even though the general idea of pointing out that people knock off designs is rather… un-newsworthy?)

I’ve actually always thought that top was a silk replica of Calisto’s outfit from Xena, Warrior Princess.

I think these posts are really interesting! I bet most of the people buying this stuff don’t even know that they’re copies of famous designs. They probably just like those shoes or this top, and buy them.

Perhaps the reason why the first two tops were easy to knock off was b/c they weren’t from the actual line, they were done by the designers for target. Hence the ability to be easily knocked off since they were made for mass production at a lower cost.
