Fashion Is Fun

“Audrina, Are We Wearing the Same Pants?”

loomstate.jpg The Hills has been lacking fashion lately, and with the elusiveness of labels and editors comes a sharp sense of anything with stitches - sort of the way you can smell anything when you’re hungry.

So when Lo says to Audrina, “are we wearing the same pants?”

We were immediately like, “Why yes, you are, and they’re Loomstate, and they’re from Barney’s Co-op, and they’re $79 on sale, but you can find similar ones at Urban Outfitters and also at Madewell.”

And that is when we decided that we will probably not watch The Hills anymore.

But even so, the pants are quite cute.

Also made from organic cotton, which we like - but not as much as we liked The Hills when it actually took place (or at least looked like it took place) inside a Conde Nast building.

Sigh.

I wish you would do just one last Ten Questions for The Hills. Specifically when Spencer said to his sister; "Why don't you take your bobo and...get on out of here?" (Because you know he wanted to say go-go)

They are SOLD OUT of my size (28). Urban doesn't carry anything like it, and I can't get madewell here (Maine. Yeah, it blows).

I'll cry all night. :(

The office shots actually weren't fake, much to the chagrin of elevator-riders up and down 6300 Wilshire who got squished by film crew gear!

not so blind item: what girls are so pissed off at mtv over a diss about their "bad name" that they are refusing to mention the show anymore on their site?

i could not be happier that you guys stopped doing the 10 questions for the hills. as if 30 minutes of losing brain cells wasn't enough, waking up and having to rehash those exact moments when said brain cells were lost, was just too much!

my next wish...having the show cancelled! its only so long now!

i have been trying to come up with a valid reason not to watch the hills and fashionista's boycott is the perfect excuse. now i can spend more time coming up with my own cute outfits instead of cringing at everything i see on the show! p.s. gossip girl fashion is waaay better

I know you guys are "boycotting" the Hills, & I applaude you because it's absolutely pointless television (although I still watch it every week), but did anyone notice when LC said something along the lines of

"I guess Audrina finally got a life of her won?"

I don't know exactly what she said, but that was the gist of it. I loved it!

you guys! we're not "boycotting" the hills - we never said anything like that (this is how rumors start, people!). we're just not doing 10 questions anymore because the show isn't really about working in fashion as much as it used to be - nobody even went to work in the last episode! clearly, if we posted this story today after we stopped doing the 10 Q's, then we haven't boycotted them, we're just sticking to writing about them when there's something worth saying.

and i wish random "guests" would stop implying that we're annoyed with kelly cutrone's "diss" on true life - for those of you who've never been to fashion week, third row is nothing to balk at, especially if you're coming from a smaller fashion site. hell, i've seen girls from vogue in third row. i think that kelly's tone might have been misinterpreted on the show, especially since we hear from people's rev all the time, and happily accept their invites to events/shows and such.

ok! back to the clothes, please...

"And that is when we decided that we will probably not watch The Hills anymore."

Sounds a little like a boycott to me! And why not boycott that show? It was only vaguely interesting when they were at Teen Vogue!!! Also, the fact that they didn't show LC quitting there and just magically getting a job with People's Rev was too much fakeness to deal with. They must really think we are all stupid and that we don't know what happens behind the scenes. I think I'll pass on posts about the Hills, mainly because I feel like the type of people who come to Fashionista.com have more integrity than the useless, mind numbing events that happen on that show. It has taken a severe dive, the clothes are unimaginative and the scenarios have moved back to stupid drama which really does make me feel like I am watching 15 year olds on TV. I am the same age as Lauren (22) and I seriously cannot believe the things that come out of her mouth. When I'm watching, I feel like I'm 30 going on 40 and thinking what is the youth coming to? Its disappointing. But to go back to my point, I don't think Fashionista should care whether people think they are boycotting the show or not.

you say you are boycotting, but I bet you are still watching!!! Boycotting the "10 Questions for the Hills" feature... but still watching!!! Just try to not watch.

I know, because I have tried. You can't look watch.

So... i was basically dying to get these. Then today, I saw that they were on clearance with an extra half off at Hot Topic's online store! $10!
But of course, they had to sell out within a few hours. Can't say that wasn't painful.
