From Teen Vogue To 90210?

Degrassi Stacy This is only marginally fashion-related, but you’ll like it anyway:


Current Teen Vogue intern and Degrassi starlet Stacey Farber is taking some time off her job assisting the website to do something very important:

Audition for the upcoming 90210 sequel in L.A.

If she gets cast, she might get to wear actual designer clothes, instead of the Wet Seal variety she sports in every Degrassi episode (in fact, we’ve only spotted one designer item, ever, on that show - a pair of Rock & Republic jeans on the scrawny butt of Emma).

And although this whole project sounds a lot like The O.C. without the sense of humor, it should still be really fun.

If Stacy gets the part, maybe she’ll go from Teen Vogue intern to Teen Vogue cover girl… just like Lauren Conrad?

no wet seal up here in canada. it's probably all le chateau. is there an actual following for it in the states?can't say i watch much of it up here.

there's definitely some hardcore le chateau action on the degrassi set...

i'd rather see stacey than lauren on teen vogue any day.

Except I think intern Stacey is doing actual work at Teen Vogue rather than just posing with a steamer and sitting there talking on AIM while the cameras roll.

even if this show is styled by someone, it makes sense that there wouldn't be anything designer. it's really normal for teenagers not to wear designer clothes. maybe be a little more wary of how you might sound... I'm sure you don't mean to be putting down the average American or Canadian teenager, but sometimes it sounds like that.

To be honest, I think it's quite strange how Teen Vogue only hires interns who are "celebrities"
.. do they really need the publicity?

I fucking love Stacey Farber, even though she refused my friendship on facebook (we go to the same university)...on an unrelated note it seems as though guest 2:48 has never seen the OC, or gossip girl, or 90210 etc....

guest 3:48, degrassi is a show about normal teenagers who go to an usual public school so it makes total sense for them not to wear designer clothes while the ones at 90210, gossip girl and the oc AREN'T usual teenagers, they're all very rich and they all go to exclusive/expensive schools so it does sense for them to wear expensive clothes. DUH!
