"It's a duchess satin stole, Champagne, specially made — I had several made for different photo shoots. I thought this one was really appropriate." - Michael Roberts, fashion director of Vanity Fair, on Miley Cyrus' not-a-bed-sheet outfit.

i hate this miley cyrus controversy. the cover is artsy. her expression isn't slutty come hither. unlike those myspace pictures she had, where she pulled up her shirt to reveal her abs/underwear. or where she lay in bed, also in her abs/underwear.

The real question is why would VF's demographic of readers care to read about a 15-year-old Disney star. Has Graydon Carter gone senile? What a lapse of judgment. And regarding the "bedsheet scandal", the girl's craving it bad, as most 15 year olds are. Own it. BFD.

I personally think she looks a little spooky in that picture, but it's a nice change from the gloopy, sparkly lip gloss...which was probably the whole idea. 15 is maybe a little too young, but it's not like she's 9 or 10. She's growing up, and wants everyone else to see it too!

Yes, I just love how the angle of her head accentuates her baby fat. Barf indeed.

LOL@ " I thought this one was really appropriate."
You have to be freaking kidding me, I'm going to say something that people are apparently scared to say.
Minor + Suggestive picture/partial nudity = Kiddie Porn
therefore the people who produce it are child pornographers regardless of how tasteful, artsy or appropriate it is deemed at the time legally this is not right.

BOTH her parents were there! I think they should have had to give the explanation for those shots, not the kid.

Kate Moss was doing completley topless things at 15, as in nipples; and that was like, 18 years ago.

Barf! She's a sexed-up 15-year old, I don't care if it was a sheet or not!
