Wow! She just looks sickly. Some models do skinny so well, they look slender, petite, convincingly made that way. Her arms are deathly... Need I mention she can't fill out the bikini bottoms?! Let me type that again: BIKINI bottoms. Her body or lack there of distracts from the clothes, except in the last photo. That's when I realized she's got a lovely face.

Her clothes don't fit properly. Hideous.

I'm happy someone else agrees that she looks disgustingly emancipated.

hahahahaa, emancipated? isn't that what happened when they freed the slaves? i think you might mean emaciated... and if that's the case, i strongly agree. screw skinny girls, i'm oh so over it.

Emancipated, or at least the definition I know, is when a minor "divorces" their parent(s.)... but that isn't the point of this post at all, is it? Anyone for sure of an answer? I'm curious.

I'd have to say '90s for this one. Maybe 1996 (too far back)?

Once I saw this video about how people at Burberry were mad that the Burberry check was becoming popular and regular folk were starting to wear fakes. They kept going on and on about how Burberry was a classy luxury brand.
Classy in a string bikini????

i still cringe at the mental image of samantha/kim c. on SATC in that hideous celine atrocity in the last photo...

It's from either spring 2000 or spring 2001. The Burberry bikini was the first thing they sold that wasnt a scarf or a raincoat. i bought it right away as well as some plaid flip flops and wore them all the time for a year or two until i realized they were horrible.

yo, emancipation is also a term used for freeing slaves. hence, the emancipation proclamation. or, in the case of mariah carey, "the emancipation of mimi"
