Sneak Peek: Lydia on Gossip Girl

For those of you left wishing you could live on set of Gossip Girl, here's a little snack to tide you over at the beginning of your week-long withdrawal -

The LA Times got their hands on a picture of the first of Lydia's outfits for her run on the show.

Personally, we think it could have been a little better.

The Sigerson gladiators are cute but just ok, the shape of that bag is starting to get annoying, and the dress, well, you fill in the blank.

Chuck, on the other hand, looks perfect in plaid, though we're still hoping for a shark sweater encore.

She irks me. That's probably why she was cast. My question is though, who is she supposed to be on the show? A lover for Chuck? (If so, they can have each other!)

chuck bass is really starting to grow on me. and i never thought i'd be saying that. anyway, i really love the plaid. and i'd also love to see the shark sweater again too!!!

i just adore chuck.
each tuesday morning is indeed the beginning of a very long, boring drought until the following week's episode.
maybe you can start posting a picture of chuck every tuesday morning? you could call the new feature "chuck bass tuesdays"...or "about last night"...or "aww, chucks"

now what were you saying? something about clothes, i think...

I would love an "about last night..." for the clothes on Gossip Girl. Orange was killing it in last nights episode. Chuck's orange trench was FIERCE! As were Serena's orange driving gloves. I immediately went out to buy a floral fringed scarf like Jenny's in the hot dog scene from UO.

lydia hearst play serena instead of blake? no, way! not only do we not know on what level her acting abilities lie, but am i the only one that does not find her that attractive? the girl is okay, but certainly nothing to write home about. i think blake lively has a much warmer, more personable beauty. she's the perfect serena imo.

i don't think anyone is saying she's replacing serena. someone just said it would have been better.
i don't think lydia hearst looks that attractive in real life but she looks gorgeous in this picture and this show does have a way of making average people seem fabulous. ie, leighton and ed. i just don't think blake makes such a good serena, especially if you read the books, she's not as gorgeous and perfect as she's supposed to be. lydia, at least from this picture, does seem like she would make a good serena but then again, she might be a lousy actress which would be worse.

If anyone is interested in the sweater Ed is wearing in this pic I think iT is Thom Browne 's Black Fleece collection for brooks brothers I know i plan to spend a bundle on at least two of the items in the collectionthis sweater and a blazer although i thought the Black Fleece collection was a womans collection

Yes there absolutely positively MUST be more posts about Gossip Girl on Tuesday's - stand out outfits perhaps?! Best moment? Worst moment, worst outfit!? The list could go on! I also think there should be more Chuck, like pretty much everyone else on this thread! He takes sexiness to a whole new level! His voice..ahhh I'm in love!!!
