The Hills Goes to London

Picture 1.pngWe just heard that MTV is casting for a British version of The Hills.

It’s almost too good to be true.

They want people with “striking looks/personal style.” So they love that Lauren’s adorable, but they wish she wore better clothes? Us too.

They want someone who lives an “aspirational lifestyle.” Like they aspire to be in Playboy, or they aspire to meet Marc Jacobs?

The best part? They want someone who “wears their heart on their sleeve,” and who will “show emotions and tell everyone about them.”

Ouch.

I cannot WAIT for this. It is going to be so cool. Maybe they should get some of the work experience girls over at British Vogue!

No kidding. Lauren wears the most uninspiring clothes. She has great hair and makeup skills, though!

I applied with a photo as sort of a joke and got a call back! I have no idea how much it will actually be like The Hills though. But they were interested in me and I filled out some more forms for them and had a phone chat, we'll see where this goes...

(I loathe LC and The Hills crew and their fashion choices, I hope to bring a nice change (better taste) to things if they are interested!)

Will this air in the UK only or will they show it in the states too? Anyways dont they already have something like it on mtv UK called Living on the Edge? It's way worse and I don't know what part of England they were from but I seriously couldn't understand the girls through their thick accents. I only lasted a couple minutes trying to watch that thing.

I'm not entirely sure what the Hills is, but apparently I'm too old at the ripe old age of 25 to apply to be on this. I wonder if it'll be the Peaches Geldof magazine thing I read about.

Living On The Edge was filmed in Alderley Edge in Cheshire. It's near Manchester and it's meant to be one of the richest areas in the country. Loads of footballers live around there. Their accents completely take away any hint of classiness though. Whoever did the casting did a rubbish job.

They've been facebooking us (targeting rich/private school girls) but really, I can't think of anyone I know stupid enough to get involved.

guest 9.41- does that mean only a cut glass BBC accent can be "classy"? Not really defending the people on Living on the Edge, but you can't just slag off people on the basis of their accents! Mind, I watch Hollyoaks religiously (the creators of which did LotE) so I'm probably not the classiest of birds myself.
