True Life: We've Been to Fashion Week

Apr 03, 2008 @ 4:23pm

Posh Front Row.jpgThis Saturday, MTV will be airing the new True Life: "I'm going to Fashion Week" as a part of a True Life marathon. MTV seems to think that "Once a year, the biggest event in fashion comes to New York City... It's the only week that matters."

Actually, it happens twice a year in NY (and it's debatable whether or not NY Fashion Week is the most important), and since, well, this is our "True Life" we'll definitely be tuning in to see if they include:

Getting in. With or without an invite.

Timing your schedule perfectly to show up late-but-not-too late, and never early.

Pretending to be your boss to get into the Marc show.

Waiting over 30 minutes for a 10 minute show.

Being trampled by photographers and flashbulbs the second Posh enters the tents.

Sneaking glances at Posh, while trying to pretend that you don't really care.

Blistered feet.

Did we miss anything?

Seeing if timing your schedule "perfectly" left you out of the Marc show.

I hope they clarify that you cannot buy tickets to fashion shows. I just find it soo amusing when I get a phone call asking where they can purchase tickets to the fashion shows. Grrr.. everyone wants to be "in" with the "fashion crowd" it's sooo obnoxious.

changing outfits in between big shows to match the "feel".

Taking pictures of celebs on your phone while trying to pretend that you're just texting.

Wait, so which one of you pretended to be me at the Marc show? Because I totally pretended to be Marvin, since he was stuck in traffic.

guest at 519 pm - you are obnoxious. many ppl would kill to get into a fashion show and you cannot blame them for trying if they odnt have the pretentious connections that you have.

Maybe I'm a dork, but the "put them in row three just for the name" really bugged me. I love this site and it is a nice break for me while I'm at work.

Fashionista=awesome!

considering the sass & bide show was in a big bryant park tent - wouldn't third rows seats be kind of amazing?

Kelly Cutrone just asked her assistant what fashionista was! Once again, fashionista was two steps ahead of the rest pop culture
