Kate's Bag For Grabs

Apr 01, 2008 @ 11:14am

ysldowntowntote.jpgWe haven't been on Bluefly in awhile.

It usually takes too long to find something good and by then, it's still too expensive, ie this gorgeous Prada clutch.

But we logged on today, clicked on YSL and found this bag. You know, the one Lily Allen carted everywhere just a month ago and the one Kate Moss has been carrying for at least a week.

We always thought the products on Bluefly ended up on there because no one was buying them, and even then, not less than a year after they leave actual stores. Are we wrong?

The good news is, if you want Kate's bag for less than retail, you don't have to wait for it to go on sale.

The bad news? It's still $1,500.00 - and you know Kate paid $1,500.00 less than that.

I love bluefly. It's interesting. I am always weary about buying designer from them though. I mean, where did bluefly get their stuff from? After I read that some fake fendis ended up at Costco, I always tread carefully.

I know someone who works at Bluefly actually..Apparently, most of their items are current and all real (they verify each piece I heard). I think it has to due to their good relationships with vendors, but who knows...

And yes, their things are still expensive, but they have so many sales that it really brings the price down. I got the most amazing ombre' prada bag there and it was at 40% of when all was said and done..

I thought Moss' was ostrich and Lily's was the messenger-ish style? Whatever, they are still gorge. I love the color.

Nice bag, I love the color, but it is still a bit out of my price range. I have never worried about the things on bluefly not being real. I don't think they have ever had a problem with that.

Bluefly's stuff is all real. And yes, not every single thousand dollar bag is being purchased for full price. Are you surprised? We are in a recession!!!

Looove Bluefly. They are a bit pricey (usually start at 20% off) and it's hard to play the waiting game for the prices to drop with them because popular sizes/items go quickly. Also, some great discount codes can be found on the net and regular UPS ground shipping for me is only 2-3 days. Items ARE authentic.

I cannot stand bluefly, i like tobi, and other online stores better, bluefly has to many out of season old stuff that are way to expensive for the items.
