We anticipate some hate comments on this one, but we actually like the dress at right from Forever 21.
It’s clearly a send-up of the Marc by Marc Jacobs dress at left, but sadly that dress is not for everybody – in fact, quite literally, it’s not for every body.
Stick thin girls will look great in it, and so will really curvy bombshells – think Top Model Whitney, Raven Simone, and Jurnee Smollett, who was so good on Grey’s Anatomy last week, we totally cried.
But if you’re short or just have a short torso, that dress may not be such a great idea – the bow at the top is a little overwhelming if the space from your boobs to your hips is just a few inches.
The Forever 21 dress has a great drop waist, which can help elongate your body, and also make you feel a little taller. It’s $24.50, which is great, and it seems far enough away from the Marc version to be it’s own dress… which is even greater.

Up close the F21 dress is not so great and the MBMJ is on sale everywhere! Either one takes a certain girl to make those colors look fabulous. These two were our “fashion doppelgangers” on 4.1 – check out the purses too!
Um, you must either be on crack or not possess curves yourself, because drop waist dresses (such as the f21 one above) look horrid on anyone with hips.
Ummm, am i missing something? Wasn’t it an absolute fashion, ethical and copyright faux pas? Oh… I see… it’s when it’s cute and fashionable enough for you… then suddenly it’s not snobbish, unethical and unfashionable. Of course, this only applied to fashionistas, right? All the other people who shop there are tacky… Way to go, principles!

The Forever 21 dress looks like somebody stole Sailor Mars’ costume.
But thats just my opinion.
And the Marc is cute on the hanger, and those who are about 5’11 and less than 1% body fat, but on anyone else it would look horrid.
