Arlenis: Coming to a Magazine Near You

May 08, 2008 @ 9:00am

arlenis.jpgA source just filled us in on our newest love,Arlenis, Mystery Girl.

The Marilyn model’s been working for just two weeks, and she’s already on the verge of blowing up.

She met with W yesterday, is being shot for Vogue US this week, and has already done a spread with Testino.

Oh, and she’s definitely in the upcoming Vogue Italia - twice. She scored one spread all by herself, and another alongside Jourdan, Chanel and Alek Wek.

The Dominican cutie was also spotted hanging with the models at the Met Ball Monday night, some people even say she looked better than most of the girls there…

And to think, we still have no idea what her last name is.

She's definitely a pretty girl but I agree w/guest 9:38am. We have to see what kind of longevity she has before we make a fuss. I still love Chanel's face the best!

Subconscious comments like guest 4:29's are what perpetuate racism in the fashion/modeling industry. So what if you happen to think Chanel is the prettier model? You might as well have just come right out and said "Thanks, but we already have ONE famous black model".
Just my humble opinion.

what, guest 4:29, because there can only be one black model whose 'in' at any given time? Can't you see how short-sighted and ridiculous that comment was? Why not compare her to any other flavor of the moment? Like that tedious, moody, silly little girl who featured on the video the other day? Tsk.

yeah, I agree with the commenters. I always see people being like Jourdan will never compare to Chanel. They look NOTHING alike to me and the comparison is ridiculous.

My comment is a reply to May 08, 2008 5:49PM. I just wanted to say that it is good that they are a lot of African American models that are going to come out representing for people of color which is good.
