Audrina: Sort of an Actress

May 13, 2008 @ 1:27pm

audrina patridge black dress.jpgHere's another fun Hills-related fact for today:

Audrina Patridge is set to be in an actual movie with actual actors and actual sets, unlike her real life on tv.

She's playing a small part in Into the Blue 2, the sequel to the beach-diving movie where Jessica Alba and Paul Walker starred in extended mini-bathing suit scenes.

Audrina's official character is that of "beach babe", and we can't wait to see if she can carry the weight of the role on her shoulders.

Next up: Scary Movie 19?

Her "acting" on The Hills will probably be more legitimate than whatever she's going to do in this movie.

For those who are so gung-ho Gossip Girl as to comment on it non-stop, why don't you just start your own blog about it? Or read/discuss it elsewhere? I get tired of reading about people clamoring for info on some television show. (Yes, I referred to it as "some television show.")

Why Why WHY must you insist on reporting on these nobodies? Patrige, Montag, Conrad, et al.....

Can't we send them all to Fashion Nuremberg and sentence them to fashion death for their heinous crimes against, yes, fashion? Because their particular brand of "californian chic" (or whatever overcooked blurb you will) is so incredibly lacking in substance and imagination that, by way of its bland inoffensiveness, it offends my exceedingly delicate sensibilities.

Dear weary guest of 2:40 PM,

So, you're saying that a blog about fashion, shopping, and style should not be a place for discussion about the fashion, shopping, or style relating to a pretty relevant (pop-culture-wise) television show that is home to one of the most extensive and indulgent wardrobe departments on basic cable? And you're saying this on a post that only mentions the acting talents of a reality TV star? Really? The reason I don't just go start my own blog about it is simple: I found this one instead. And it's usually a place of interesting discussion. Lately, though, it seems like there's been a whole lot of whining and complaining in the comments. Gee, maybe you should pioneer a whining, complaining blog instead. Because you know, I get tired of reading about people getting tired of Gossip Girl or The Hills or Adventures in Copyright or everyone's supposed snobbery.

But on to more important issues. Can anyone really believe that the same household that would have Blair wear sexy lingerie on Christmas morning would only provide Serena with that matronly velvet robe? My willing suspension of disbelief was violated beyond repair.

Regards,
Demanding guest of 2:06 PM
