Models Talk: Daria

It's always fun to see footage of a model from when she was just first getting to be known, so here's a fun clip of Daria at the Fall 2005 shows.

Her voice is a little deeper than you might expect and we had no idea she was such giggly gal pals with Carmen Kass, but we love the shots from the Versace show, after Donatella got out of rehab and started designing clothes that made people use words like "electrifying" and "beautiful as hell".

But the best part's the little factoids that pop up in the corner of the video - they remind us of Fashion Trance, our favorite late-night tv show from back when the Style Channel was actually good.

The style channel was the @#$% a few years ago, I remember staying up at night to watch fashion shows they'd run. Now it's all about programing enjoyed by residents of one of the square states who know nothing about fashion, LET ALONE STYLE!!!

I simply adore your devotion to models. It's so refreshing. This video was awesome. I particularly loved the Daft Punk music. :) I couldn't agree more about the STYLE channel. I remember there were mornings when they'd show Video Fashion Weekly, Fashion Television, Fashion File, and Behind the Velvet Ropes in a row. It was so great, because it was new and not all corporate. It was singular vision. Now, the most interesting on STYLE is Life in the Fabulous Lane, and by "interesting" I mean "looks like a train wreck, so why not watch it?" BRING BACK LAUREN EZERSKY!

Whoooaa! Well said...In the name of all that is blindingly contributory to the world of fashion...BRING BACK FASHIONTRANCE!

The only show that was a soundtrack for LIFE itself. What happened to it? I could enjoy the HOURS I spent straightening my unruly locks while catching a glimpse of all that was current on planet style.

Who was responsible for it's ending? Please. A great show.

OMG, I used to LIVE for FASHION TRANCE!!! I would love to see it back on the air. But I must admit to watching Clean House as a GP.

i love ftv. sometimes it gets repetitive and you end up seeing the same stuff, but i like the model segments a lot. i watch it whenever i am back in europe. is it available in us? i've never seen it anywhere.

Fashion Trance was the best!!!!! What happened to Style?! Since when is planning tacky weddings and replaying bits from E! fashion?! Style used to be awesome remember when Isaac had his talk show? It was my favorite thing to watch!! Not that I don't love Clean House but honestly I want a REAL fashion channel not more "reality" shows!

They show FTV in the Philippines, but not in the states? Lame!
