Pat Field + M&S, Not H&M

pat field with monocle.jpgLooks like Lily Cole isn't the only redhead Marks & Spencer is counting on to up its image -

Vogue UK says that Pat Field's going H&M style and designing a limited-edition line for the chain retailer, which is not only a first for Pat, but a first for M&S as well.

The 35-piece range hits stores in October, and will be available online and in international stores other than M&S so everybody can get in on the fun.

Pat says the concept for the line is "Destination Style New York", which we take to mean as a little bit Andre J and a whole lot of Samantha, with just a dash of marketability.

We're sure the line will do well, no matter what Pat thinks up for it, so we guess the next logical question would be, who's going to design the next capsule collection for M&S?

Pat also did a "capsule collection" for Payless late last year: http://www.payless.com/PatriciaField/

Strangely, everything was named after Japanese food and drink, which kind of gave the impression that the faux "skin" print could be fish scales. Creepy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pat at several tapings of "Hope and Faith". She did a great job there and outstanding job with Sex and the City. She looks great. I love all her work, she has many followers. Thanks Pat Fields.
