Christian Louboutin!! He said he saw the color red on one of his assistant's nails (and I'm pretty sure it was Revlon) and made that the trademark of his shoes.

No, Christian Louboutin's signature red soles were inspired by Chanel polish. I was watching that Stacy London special about shoes on TLC and she interviewed him. He was watching his assistant paint her nails and grabbed the bottle from her and starting painting the bottom of a shoe. She yelled at him for wasting her Chanel polish!
