foley and corinna jordache rip.jpgHeidi Klum wore a pretty Foley and Corinna top in The New York Times around this time last year.
She’s now selling the same top under her Jordache line.
We didn’t even realize she was designing clothes for the denim brand, but according to this style watch page from People magazine, sent in by reader Amy, she’s launched a capsule collection in her spare time.
It includes jeans of course, a sweatshirt jacket, and a v-neck pleated top that nips in at the waist just like the Foley and Corinna one.
Heidi, we expect more from you.
And Foley and Corinna, so sorry everyone keeps ripping off your pretty clothes.

We’re an industry built upon ripping off each other…reminds me of the current situation with LVMH & eBay – http://www.ThoseExtra4Inches.com – what do you guys think about that?

There’s something so much worse about a celebrity with no real fashion experience ripping off a small-ish label like Foley, though. It’s like she’s so self-centeredly naive as to think that, by wearing something, she invented it. There’s something very righteous about a person who will be photographed in and discuss a top in a well-known fashion feature… and then turn around and rip it off!
I’m really disappointed by celebrities who pretend to be designers. It suggests so little respect for the truly original and talented people in the field, who unfortunately depend on them so much, they’ll probably keep sending them freebies and maintaining their relationship, anyway.

What do you expect after her jewelrly line ripped off Van Cleef. I need to know who had the “Clover” design first, Van Cleef or LV beacuse I thought that her earrings were by LV when she first wore them on Project Runway. Silly me! Oh, and Thoseextra4inches.com is “Fashionista-ish” but maybe the girl will find her own spin soon. I took it as a compliment to Fashionista because the format of this site is damn good.

It is suspicious, but it’s not like the Foley top is that original.

And that sweatshirt pictured above is an EXACT copy of a Mike and Chris design from a season or two ago. Pathetic.

Yes, fashion, just like art, does borrow from one another, but come on Heidi shame on you!! Why not steal ideas from like Christian or someone on Project runway?? Not Foley and Corinna who I love!

but whenever kate moss creates a topshop line based on the designer clothes she wears, it’s supposedly revolutionary? who cares. foley and whatever didn’t invent that top.
