Finally, a logical fashion decision.
Byrdie Bell, the actress and socialite, has signed with Ford Models.
The New York native is of Norwegian descent and actually bears the name Evelyn Byrd Bell, though she’s been called Byrdie since childhood.
She has a movie coming out this Fall called Homecoming, with Mischa Barton and Matt Long, the cutie from Jack and Bobby, which never should have been canceled.
And she follows in the footsteps of fellow socialite beauties Vanessa Traina and Harley Viera-Newton, both of whom recently signed with Elite. Lydia Hearst, Amanda Hearst, Margherita Missoni, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld are also Manhattan socialites with modeling agencies (most are on IMG’s women’s board).
It seems Ford has their work cut out for them – Byrdie’s already been in Vogue more times than Nicole Kidman.

Slow news day? Byrdie Bell modeling can not be the most interesting scoop of the day, being as she is already a model.
another socialite turned model…big surprise.
ugh I’m so sick of socialites in general, socialites turned models/actress/wtfever in particular.
you just gained so much more respect from me as a reader for saying that jack and bobby never should have been cancelled. amen, sister friends.
This whole socialite trend scares me. What does this mean for aspiring models from workingclass backgrounds??
I agree with guest 9:57. It’s bad enough a lot of these girls have more money than god. . . it seems a bit unfair that they get the jackpot dream jobs too. It just makes it harder for me to take fashion industry seriously. . . when it seems so calculated and rigged.
