Avril_Lavigne Well, someone at Proctor and Gamble thinks that you do.

The megabrand in charge of most things in your shower just inked a deal with the Canadian singer, according to WWD, and her essence of ick will be on shelves by Fall.

It's not that we don't sing Complicated and Sk8er Boi rather frequently in the office, it's just that the arbiter of Hot Topic insanity might not be the best choice for a personal scent.

Unless you want to smell like bubble gum, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Vans rubber soles, and hockey pucks all at once, in which case, this is probably your new perfume.

My guess is they feel she fills a gap.. she reminds me of some girls in their awkward stage. Yeah, she's 20something, but the girl is creatively dysfunctional... angry/ married/ sk8ing/ choreographed/ lip glossed mess.

It's very hard to watch...

plus I swear she's got grubby hands with dirt under her nails.

Whoah - flashback photo!

This kind of reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean scent at Hot Topic. (Yes, it exists, but I can't recall what it actually smells like.) I was actually kind of excited about that one until I realized that smelling like a pirate, even a Disney-fied bottled version, doesn't seem appealing.

As for the Avril scent, my 16 year old self might have cared (my friend and I totally snuck ourselves into the front row of the non-mosh pit), but now? Not so much.

I would have thought this was cool when I was 12, even though I already hated "celebrity fragrances," because I thought Avril was cool. Now, this just strikes me as funny. She should stick to music.
Likewise,doesn't she have a clothing line too?
