I vaguely remember some vogue photo shoot in the recent past (past two years, maybe) that was way 80's and recommended intentionally chipped nails. Amy I making this up?

Thanks, that was a really great piece. Common sense advice, but it's great to see it all out in writing from a highly credible fashion insider.

I wear denim shorts and occasionally (OK, more often then I like to admit) have chipped nail polish, but those are things that are not appropriate for the workplace. Even if you aren't working in corporate America.
I think that is what she was trying to get at.

Miriam: you're not making this up.
The NYTimes had an article a few weeks ago about how chipped nail polish is becoming an acceptable trend for work. The only time it wasn't good was for a job interview or on your toes.
Everyone interviewed in the piece agreed that chipped nail polish on the toes is never good.
